"Sometimes in amongst the piles of CDs & MP3s from people with false hopes and over confidence that I wade through every day you get a real gem. AMORIC is one. So why aren't they signed? I have no idea, but it can only be a matter of time."

HISTORY

AMORIC were previously called LORA but changed their name in October 2007.

In 2000, AMORIC recorded 10 original songs in English and in the summer of 2001, they signed a record deal with 'Stars records' for the promotion of their debut album in Bulgaria.

The same year the band shot the video for a song called 'Fire' (Bulgarian version 'Raia'), which won 'Best rock song of 2001' at the annual MM (Bulgarian Music Television) Awards. The group was also nominated for Best Debut by Melo TV Mania, a music show on Bulgarian National Television.

In June 2002 the video to their song 'No More' ('Nova') was released, followed by the multi-media album of the same name in July. Both 'Fire' and 'No More' were among the Top 10 songs on radio and TV charts in the country.

2002 also saw the band receive nominations for 'Best rock group' by Melo TV Mania, 'Best Rock Album' and 'Best Rock Song' by MM, and they also got a nomination from BG Radio. The same year the band made an animated video for 'Jungle', another hit from their debut album that won both critical and public acclaim.

In the summer of 2004 a new video hit the TV stations, promoting the band’s new single 'Let Go' ('Leko') that again entered Bulgarian charts and was later featured in an alternative music compilation CD.

In December 2004 AMORIC toured in South Korea, where they performed to American audiences present there.

After returning to Bulgaria in 2005, the band continued to expand their fan base by performing at venues frequented by western audiences. They also spent time recording more original songs.

AMORIC’s single 'Care' ('Nedei'), released in late 2006 reached top positions in Bulgarian radio charts in 2007 and was nominated for Best Rock/Alternative Song at the 2007 MM Awards.

AMORIC have also written music for new and established Bulgarian acts.

In November 2007 the band moved to Dublin, Ireland to promote their music there.
